  • 1.  Unknown error when run Cross tabulation

    Hi there! I am having issue with unknown error while I run cross tabulations by SPSS version 26 (Licensed) on Mac (OS 10.15.5). The programme is not responding anymore when I run CROSSTABS, all my data change to question mark sign (?) and the results are not come out. SPSS then freezes and requires it to be force quit to reopen again. Is there anyone who have experienced like that before? Help me please. Thanks!

    Sounds like you need the V26 fixpack.  A Mac OS upgrade broke some things.

    Hi Jon!

    I am having the same issue. SPSS 26 on Mac iOS Catalina 10.15.7 (latest update as of today). When I run a Crosstab, it starts running indefinitely (I left it running at least one hour) does not complete the analysis, and freezes.  I need to force quit. It has the same issue with the split file function. 
    I have installed the fix pack 1. Still has not helped. I tried the basic, helpless user, resources as deleting and reinstalling, running the authorization wizard again, update my iOS versions... Nothing seems to work. 

    It is interesting as I still can run perfectly a Kaplan-Meier on a very large dataset, a far more complex operation. I also can run the frequencies well, so far my problem is when I try CROSSTAB and SPLIT-FILE functions.
