Select U789C.001.DQD2J21-P1-T7 Universal Serial Bus UHC Spec
    Select U789C.001.DQD2J21-P1-C4 PCI-to-PCI bridge

the machine does have a quad ethernet card in though.

If the VIO profile does not have the adapter assigned to it than add it (as required, not desired) and then shutdown and reactivate the VIO partition. Note: just doing a shutdown and restart does not cause the profile to be re-read. You need to shutdown the partition and then use the HMC to activate the partition.

If you have other profiles that are not active, they do not have any affect. However, note that if you have a second profile that also assigns the quad ethernet adapter to it, you will not be able to activate that partition while the VIO server partition is up because the quad ethernet adapter will be in use (by the VIO partition).

It is not possible to share the physical adapters between partitions.
