  • 1.  Time-out (inactivity) not working

    I've integrated Watson Assistant (Lite plan) with Wordpress.

    If there's no activity, the chatbot is supposed to clear the messages in 5 min. However, chatbot is still showing messages a few days ago. 

    How do i rectify this issue? Thks.

    Hi! I'm assuming you're using the watson assistant web chat. When the 5 minutes are reached, the web chat session ends. If a user closes their tab and then reopens, the web chat history will be gone. If, however, you keep your tab open, the web chat will still preserve the history. If you then start talking to the bot again, it will create a new session and automatically copy over the previous context so a user can continue their conversation.

    Hi.
    This is most possibly a WordPress issue and has nothing to do with Watson. Being the Assistant is added as a plug-in, WordPress's CMS is what handles it "now"… both speed and what it saves. Check the cache. There are tray plugins that remove the cache from the WordPress site alone, and keep it clean so it can run a bit faster. WordPress overall, especially if you're using a theme that's dense in its code will keep this. Naturally. You need to constantly regreso this as a management technique/process.

    I recently replied to this... these are the plugins I've used for this on my site. I had Watson up just removed it for further development... 

    1. Imagify (it helps reduce image size which takes up so much from Wordpress)
    2. WP Rocket (clears cache as mentioned)

    The Document says after 5mins of inactivity new session will start but while testing after 5mins message comes under same session id. Tested in new chat after 15 messages and left for 16mins and the message comes in same session in langfuse. dont know how session are handles in WXO. Someone please joinhands to clarify
