Hi,
We have throttling activated on a server but we get som log messages that I don't understand.. 

First we get this log message that is OK: Throttling connections due to low memory
A few seconds later we get this message: rejecting connection from '127.0.0.1' on port '63504'

Does anyone know why the reject message comes?
Is it because the backlog queue is full?

That's a pretty high ephemeral port.  I would suspect something internal is getting held up as well.  I also suspect it might take diag mode to figure it out.

Have you tried generating an error report and taking a look at it?

No I havn't done that.
I'll do some more digging and see what I can find.  :)

Hi that port is a reserved port used for some internal IPC ; and the reject is because when the throttler detects high mem it starts rejecting new connections in an attempt to shed load and hopefully lower memory.

I agree an ER can help you investigate.
