    Is the CSP solver component a must for TDF even on windows?

    Installation manual says " The CSP solver is not supported for Windows platform (Linux only). But on a screenshot pasted in the manual under Basic installation, there is a note " CSP Solver component should be installed on Linux host machines". It is actually not clear, as the statements are contradicting. 

    Does it mean the TDF solution requires a Windows server with a Linux( Redhat or Ubuntu) box that has CSP solver installed?

    Hello Vinod,

    CSP solver can be installed only on Linux.

    Even for your windows installation CSP is required and you can install CSP only on Linux.

    So, in my previous email, I had suggested, use just Linux and install all the components of TDF there. 

    But if you want to use Windows then You can install all the components except CSP as you will require Linux to install CSP.

    I did install it in a Windows machine & I tried to" open project / new project",  when I got an error message on "CSP Solver" . 

    If I do get to install " CSP Solver" in a Linux machine, Will the current installation of TDF in Windows that I have now work? I believe, for that to work, the Windows/Linux machines should be connected and the CSP Solver need to be configured as a service in TomCat right? ( I need to understand this to see if we have to open firewalls / proxy in the network )

    We have not done Windows/linux installation. 

    We have done all the installations on Linux.

    I am planning to build one and need these info,
    Hardware requirement - 2 CPU Core / 2 GB RAM or more?
    Storage - SAN / NAS
    Any database to be installed? (Oracle/Sql)
    Any specific permissions?
