Task Status Not Getting Inherited from Parent Workorder in message tracking before getting Published.

  • 1.  Task Status Not Getting Inherited from Parent Workorder in message tracking before getting Published.

    Posted 22 hours ago

    Hi all,
We have Scenario where we need to Publish the workorder and its tasks which are in Approved Status. We have created a object structure where Workorder is the Parent object and Woactivity is the child object. We have a Processing rule in Publish Channel to Skip the workorders other than which are in Approved status at workorder level.

    Issue:
The Issue we are facing here is, as soon as we change the Parent workorder status to Approved the Tasks associated with the workorder is also getting changed to Approved in the UI but the messages published in message tracking still has the previous task status.

    For Example:
1.Workorder and its tasks are in NEW status.
    2. Now I am making the workorder status to APPR and the task status is also changed to APPR in UI(Inherit Status Checked).
3.When checking the Messages in Message tracking application the workorder status is in APPR status but the task is still in NEW status.

The correct Task status is not published in the message tracking application.

Please help me out with the fix or any work around options solve this Issue.

    Thanks,
    Saran R

A quick workaround would be to use a Processing Rule (SET) to update the status of the child work orders as needed.

For a cleaner solution, you may debug the object structure and its associated triggers, and refer to the out-of-the-box MXAPIWODETAIL for appropriate OS settings/configurations.
