  • 1.  System Drop Down - List and Sort by Description (not System/Host Name)

    The Host Names for the systems that I have configured are all sporadic and I'd like to keep all the systems for each client listed/grouped together.
    Is there a way to get the configured systems to appear in the System: drop down by Description instead of System Name?

    Hi

     I don't think it's possible but you can had description on your DNS or hosts file corresponding to IP address of your IBMi server

    In System Configurations, View, Add Columns, add the Service Host Name.  Shut down System Configurations.  Shutdown iACS main screen.  Start iACS main screen.  Go back into System Configurations.  

    Oh, and make sure you entered in the HMC (or Lan Console) name for each system in their Console tab.

    Unlike Description, you can sort by Service Host Name.

    To add a sort on Description try https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas

    Thanks for the suggestions! I'll use the Group workaround for now. But, I added this as an idea too to get the sorting by description as an option. View idea

    Oh, I just noticed another thing.  It's easier and makes more sense.

    On each system in System Configurations create a group for each company.  Now you can click on this arrow
