Attempting to start the Zowe cross memory server results in:

I've tried adding DEBUG to the parms for member ZWESISTC to get some more information regarding the cause of the RC=8 but it hasn't had the desired result.

Can someone refer me to an example of how to turn debug on please?

Hello Claire, Zowe cross memory server load module (ZWESIS00) must be APF-authorized and the program needs to run in key(4) as non-swappable. Can you please check if it has the right requirements?

Would it be possible to share or email me the ZWESISTC log (DEBUG enabled)?

    Thanks!

Hi Nayer, my server load module appears to be called ZWESIS01 (rather than ZWESIS00).

This member is in an APF-authorised data set:

And I believe it is defined correctly in the PPTs:

I'm trying to turn DEBUG on so I can get some more information to diagnose the issue but I haven't been successful. I've included DEBUG in the parms for ZWESISTC but no additional output is included in the SYSLOG.

Can you tell me what I need to do to enable DEBUG please?

Claire, thanks for verifying those requirements. Sorry, you are right, the load module is called ZWESIS01, it was typo :).
You enabled DEBUG mode properly. One thing that I noticed is in the image (the one that you issued "D PROG,APF" command),  data set "ZWE123.SZWEAUTH" resides on volume "VPWRKF" while another image (Data Set List) shows the data set resides on volume "VPWRKJ".

Can you please make sure which one would be the right load library? Thanks!

Nayer, thank you for spotting that! I've updated the APF entry to reflect volume VPWRKJ and I believe the cross memory server is starting up successfully now.
