I have SSO in Windows 2016 using AD. It works fine in Chrome, IE and Firefox.  Not sure what you have tried for your setup, but you do need a Gateway with IIS to handle the SSO if you have not set that up yet.

    This you probably have already.

You'll need to set up the identity mapping for single sign on in Cognos configuration. I could not find a link for that but it is the same as older versions of Cognos. Make sure the case is exact or it will not work.
What kind of error are you receiving? Does it work in IE?

I have Identify mapping in place. No errors, It'll ask for ID & Password on Chrome/Firefox. IE works fine.

I unchecked the HTTP Redirect at the Application layer (ibmcognos) under the Default Web Service.  I restarted IIS then it worked.

Did you setup Chrome for SSO? I just did a quick google and found this

To change your settings in Chrome 40.0 to prepare for SSO
    1. Open Chrome, and on the far right select Menu > Settings.
    2. Select Show Advanced Settings.
    3. Select Content Settings under the "Privacy" section.
    4. Under the Cookies section, ensure Allow local data to be set (recommended) is selected.
    5. Select Done to save settings.

In previous versions of Chrome we had to allow the Cognos URL in trusted sites. However in the newest version 81 there are no options to set that any longer.

Just for reference. Ours is working in Chrome, IE, Edge
Cognos 11.1.4 (worked on all previous versions of CA 11)
    FQDN
    4 VMs (2 Gateways and 2 Dispatchers)
    SSL
    Windows Server 2016
    IIS 10
Chrome 81 (All previous versions since CA 11 rolled out)
    Hope this helps!

    Hello,
    try this:
in IIS > ibmcognos (under Default Web Site) > Authentication > Windows Authentication > Providers: if you have not configured Negotiate then remove it so there is only NTLM left.
After that Chrome and new Edge chromium pass authentication using sso.
Chromium uses its own weights and obviously it is not accepting sort list of available providers on the server. Chrome is in the same family so maybe it is acting the same:
