  • 1.  SSH Known Host Key

    ​Hoping someone can help..I'm trying to check in a Known Host Key and am getting the following error:

    "Error occured while fetching the key! Please check the Host and Port information and try again"

    I am able to SFTP to the host I'm trying to obtain key from command line without any issues.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi Karen,

    I have also run into instances where this occurs. If you can, use ssh-keyscan like this:

    ssh-keyscan -t rsa example.com > example.com.txt

    then edit the file and remove the hostname in that file and check it into SFG.

    Ensure you have connectivity with the partner’s remote server. They may have to whitelist your outbound IP address.

    Hi Karen,

    If you can use ssh-keyscan with for example ssh-keyscan -t rsa example.com > example.com.txt. Then edit the file to remove the hostname at the beginning and check it in. That has worked for me on several servers.

    Hi Karen,

    Please check the perimeter server configuration on your "SSHKeyGrabberAdapter".  If the host is "external" you may need to select the appropriate Perimeter server in order to connect to the host and grab the SSH key
