Hi @Joy H.
That certainly sounds odd. Is it the case that:
- No output window is created. Check this by going to the "Window" menu and selecting the current Output Viewer Document if one exists.
- An Output Viewer window is created and you are taken to it, but no CROSSTABS pivot table output is created
- An Output Viewer window is created, CROSSTABS output pivot tables and text are created but cannot be displayed because
- The CROSSTABS procedure is still running
- The variables describing the rows, columns, and layers of the CROSSTABS pivot table have so many unique values that the resulting table is exhausting the resources of your mac.

I have a macbook pro and when I open spss and enter all my data to run crosstabulations all is well until I press ok. After pressing ok no output shows up and laptop starts getting hotter. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, tried restarting the laptop, and it is still a problem. When I reopen spss they show a message about a previous error saying it crashed, but it keeps happening.
