  • 1.  SPSS Issue: Importing Data leads to ?

    Dear SPSS community,

    When I upload an Excel file into SPSS, the preview looks perfectly fine. However, after clicking "OK" and loading the worksheet, only question marks ("?") appear (please see the attached screenshot).

    Does anyone know why this issue occurs and how I can resolve it?

    It might just be that the data haven't yet been passed.  What happens if you run a procedure, which forces a data pass?

    Just to test try saving the excel book manually, & see if you still get the strange read in.  I had a similar sounding issue a few versions ago when saving excel workbooks in a batch facility process. - Art Jack
