You can get the P20 and P30 subscription without the bundles.
The bundles are geared toward discounting, especially if you transfer non-expiring OS into the subscription model. The discount extends for the full term of the subscription on that initial order (or so the explanation was given). So the bundle may wind up being cheaper on the initial conversion term (3 to 5 years) than even the stand-alone subscription for the OS.
The examples I saw published were $14,500 per core per year on the P20 OS subscription, while the bundle conversion was around $13,000 per core per year (for the term of the contract). Standard bundle with no conversion transfer was listing around $16,000 per core per year on the P20. Slightly higher numbers on the P30, but similar style of discounting.

Are the P20 & P30 subscription prices only available with the bundle options? What if you say "I am not using any of that Power HA stuff, how much is the subscription without those bundles?"?
The reason I ask is that a branch of a major IBM i software vendor had a meeting with me yesterday. My annual maintenance is $1,400. They want to switch me to subscription pricing. I will not be able to get their IBM i 7.6 ready package unless I do. Not only do I need to go to subscription pricing but I need to bundle in other stuff to hit their $5k minimum annual spend or they don't want to continue to do business with me. Oh, and the stuff I'm using from other branches of that vendor, they don't count in the annual spend.
I'm just trying to figure out if IBM is doing the same thing but has a much better marketing team to sugarcoat it.

The permanent (non-expiring) licenses are on P20 and P30 tiers currently for the Power10 machines. However, that is listed as going away on January 1, 2026 according to the the Licensing FAQ here:
https://public.dhe.ibm.com/systems/support/planning/transfer/IBM.i.Transformation.FAQ.pdf
When moving to Power11, the P20 and P30 tiers are subscription based with a singular exception that I can see: The upgrade from E1080 to E1180 will maintain the serial number, and will allow continued use of the non-expiring licensed products from the E1080 level.

IDK about license transfer. Talk to your BP. But permanent licenses are still available for P10's, for a limited time.
There is a perm lic transfer available for a particular model of P11 but it's way out of your size league. That was all in the meeting today.

I was under the impression that it's too late... any new purchase would not allow a license transfer.

If you want the non expiring license, and you purchase it before they are no longer available, you can still get them for Power 10s. That may affect your P10 vs P11 decision. If you wait until your P9 goes out of service you may be SOL.

I'm not really interested on jumping to 7.6 right now... I'm not inclined to jump to a Power10. Hopefully they have a Power11 in the P05 group.
We are a small company of just over 200... we don't need the extra associated with a P10 (nor do we need the associated software price hikes).

If you noticed, Power 10s are also listed. None of them have reached EOS either.
If you're like us, and like to run the latest version of IBM i, and knowing that if IBM keeps the pattern up that iNext will be out in 3 years and would likely drop support for Power 10s, then I agree with you that a Power 10 may be a short sighted decision. OTOH, if you're very anxious to get to IBM i 7.6 because of MFA, or want to replace that Power 9 before it hits EOS, then your only P05 option is currently a Power 10.

Why is the 9009-41G listed? As far as I know, this unit has no EOS date (the 9009-41A does).
Personally, I will not recommend going to a Power 10. We would wait for the Power11

Hi. You can take a look at the redbook of scale-out models: https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/pdfs/sg248590.pdf

I've been told that there will be a P05. Like you I'm thinking it will also wait on the ?2026? model, S1112.

Hi, I'm looking for IBM i software tier P05, I can't find it, but I guess it comes with the next Power 11 server type/model from 2026.
