Hello all, I am Peter from Greece.
I am good with Excel and recently i took an EDX course for Data Analytics from which a chapter was about Cognos which i found really good and i am eager to learn more about it.
I have uploaded an excel file with fields Date, Customer, Product, Quantity, Revenue.
What i am trying to do is a report list in which i made two prompts, one for year and one for month.
This way i can see the sales per customer for a specific month.
My List has these Fields:
Customer,Revenue
So with that logic i see the sales of one month of my choosing for all the customers.
What i would like to add would be another column which would give me the sales of the same month of previous year.
Example:
Customer Selected Month Revenue 1 year ago same month revenue
Nick 10000euro 5000 euro
In Excel i would just use a sumifs of current date-365 and i would be good to go.
Here although i checked many videos i didnt get a very good idea what i must do.
I even splitted my data date to fiscal calendar with all the filters but still i dont have enough knowledge to go by.
I would appreciate a lot some help regarding this and some links of where i can get more help either in video or reading format to become better using this amazing tool. I am a beginner so any help is greatly appreciated.
