Thank you for the help, but neither of those worked out. Still cant find my snippets option. I did as the guide said in your link, but it only is for java Projects.
And the darkest dark looks great and it helped with another "problem" I had when I pressed strg+2 on a source code, that it dublicates the code to an extra tab but with white background. Now it is all black, so that is fixed. But still no snippets. I would need a more detailed guide.
But never the less thanks

I asked a fellow co-worker who uses snippets.
as you stated it part of Eclipse. you they now need to install snippets.
SWT Snippets | The Eclipse Foundation
or
Install a package that that uses the module like "Darkest Dark Theme with DevStyle"
Those are the steps to install the Dark Theme on RDi, so background is black just like "green screen".
1. Start RDi.
2. Help > Eclipse Marketplace.
3. Type "Eclipse Web Developer Tools "
4. Select and install "Eclipse Web Developer Tools 3.25"
5. Next.
6. Select all and trust.
7. Restart RDi.
8. Help > Eclipse Marketplace.
9. Type "Darkest Dark"
10. Select and install "Darkest Dark Theme with DevStyle"
11. Next.
12. Restart RDi.
13. Select style
14. Windows > Preferences and type "lpex"
15. LPEX Editor > Appearance
16. Change Palette > Black
17. Apply > apply and close

Thank you, that is sad because snippets were pretty easy to use.
templates existed already before as well and i couldnt find a guide how to add templates as you can see in the screenshot, none where there.
there are also other kind of templates, that are different. Schablonen = templates.
which you can insert with ctrl+space if you type in a keyword. which is not that good, because you have to know before how the code should look like and with snippets you could see and choose the right one you need.
so if it is a feature of eclipse, can i install it as a plugin or did eclipse got rid of it?

I raised the same issue on a LinkedIn post and the response I got was that Snippets is an Eclipse feature, not an RDi feature.
I suspect that Templates are intended to replace snippets, but without support for all of the various source member types it's practically useless.

Hello, I am still setting up the new RDI and I can not find the Snippets anymore. There is a view called "Templates" it also has the same icon like snippets but right clicking in the view does nothing.
in preferences> remote systems>Lpex-editor for remote systems> ILE RPG there are also templates, but you have to call them with crtl+space in the editor
Did someone figure out how i can import my snippets from 9.6. to 9.8. or where i can find the folder to move the snippet.xml file? search in windows explorer did not show anything clear for me. Thanks
