Hello, I am still setting up the new RDI and I can not find the Snippets anymore. There is a view called "Templates" it also has the same icon like snippets but right clicking in the view does nothing.

in preferences> remote systems>Lpex-editor for remote systems> ILE RPG there are also templates, but you have to call them with crtl+space in the editor

Did someone figure out how i can import my snippets from 9.6. to 9.8. or where i can find the folder to move the snippet.xml file? search in windows explorer did not show anything clear for me. Thanks 

I raised the same issue on a LinkedIn post and the response I got was that Snippets is an Eclipse feature, not an RDi feature.

I suspect that Templates are intended to replace snippets, but without support for all of the various source member types it's practically useless.

which you can insert with ctrl+space if you type in a keyword. which is not that good, because you have to know before how the code should look like and with snippets you could see and choose the right one you need.

I asked a fellow co-worker who uses snippets. 

as you stated it part of Eclipse.  you they now need to install snippets.

Use this link to download the Snippets plugin:

Exit RDi, then drop it in your RDi/plugins folder.  Restart and the Snippets view is back.  You will need to create a "category" before it lets you can import snippets, but you can delete that temp category after you import a category of your own.

It does not pull in Snippets from the server (if they were part of your settings Push), so export from 9.6 and import to 9.8 is the only option.

Thank you, I did that, it replaced an already existing jar file but different version number. I think it was from SWT I got from barbaras suggestion.
And it did not work sadly. If i search in preferences, I get only ant->editor->templates and in "show view" search there is nothing.
