  • 1.  Sending A Report Through Email.

    What security rules are built around Cognos 11.0.11 for sending reports through email?  Are the emails being sent encrypted? Thank you for any information that you can give on that.

    I would think your mail server determines whether to use SSL encryption or not.  If you are on v10+, check out the Cognos Configuration console and look for the "SSL encryption enabled" flag.  You can change it and then restart the service to take effect.

    It looks like we have TLS 1.2 running on the Cognos server would that happen to do any Email Encryption? Thank you so much for your help!!!
