  • 1.  Runing a t test in SPSS without raw data

    Posted Mon May 18, 2020 09:17 AM
    Greetings to all the wondeful colleagues on this forum
    I have been asked to review a research paper where raw data is not available. I have summary statistics viz N, Mean and SD for 2 groups. How can I run an independent sample  t-test in SPSS using these figures?

    Group 1
    N1=72
    Mean1=23.3
    SD1=4.6

    Group 2
    N2=90
    Mean2=28.22
    SD2=2.09

    You can do this with the SPSSINC SUMMARY TTEST extension command.  You can install this from the Extensions > Extension Hub menu in SPSS Statistics.
