I work for an IBM Business Partner and would like to have access to trial licenses of RTVS. We have opportunities in customers and want to educate our team with virtualization technologies.

How does I apply for a license?

Hi Dennis,

to my knowledge we don't have a trial license or evaluation copy of the RTVS products.
RTVS is actually the name of an offering and not a stand alone product 

For the complete virtualization toolset you'll need:

Rational Integration Tester (RIT) to create and publish the stubs

• from memory it's in the Rational Test Workbench and RTVS offerings

Rational Test Control Panel (RTCP) to start , stop, etc the published stubs
it'll be in the RTVS offering

• Rational Integration Tester Agent (RITA) to actually run the stubs, this is under the covers and RTCP issues the commands to start, stop the stubs
• it'll be in the RTVS and RPTS offerings

RIT requires a license, the RIT Agent has various licesning modes, PVU and floating

To get evaluation copies of this software contact your IBM sales rep   I contacted my IBM sales rep contacts and make them aware of this request.

They *may* agree to send a 30 day trial license so you can run RIT and RITA.

If this is the case it'll be a floating license and would require Rational License Key Server 8.1.6 or 9.0, so as a proactive measure you'll need that software as well
