  • 1.  Routing Tasks Out of Gateway

I'm fairly new to BAW, I have a task that runs into a gateway, so I have 3 available points left to use for that gateway.  They are all being used to route the task to different swimlanes, and now I need another route to a different swimlane, is there a way to make that possible and how do I achieve that if it is possible?

    Ryan,

You can have multiple flow lines coming out of any point on a gateway or other artifacts. You are not restricted to three flow lines coming out from the gateway because there are only three points available to attach flows to. You always need to start from an unused/open point. Then you can move that flow from its current attachment point to another point even if the point you are moving it to already has another flow line attached. As you can see in the accompanying screenshot, I have three distinct flow lines attached to the top of the exclusive gateway and additional "default" flow line attached to the right. I like to keep the default flow on its own point so that its visually clear which one it is and makes selecting it easy.

    Hope that helps!
