Hello Smart People :)

I have a very simple question but I am not sure about the answer.

If I have a group of people let's say managers in my AD and I add this group to a Custom role in Cognos, later a new manager added to the same group in my AD and grant him access to Cognos, would the new manger inherit  the same role and features automatically in Cognos?

short answer is yes
If you are using groups AD to maintain membership and then add those AD groups to the appropriate roles/groups in Cognos the permissions and capabilities will be applied to anyone added to the AD group
