Hi All,

I have a set of existing reports/dashboards where most of the charts use local classes. The local class has been used to maintain same formatting across all the reports/dashboards. I am working on a new report consisting of charts and having a difficult time making the formatting consistent with the rest of existing reports. Is there a way to reuse the local class used in the existing reports in order to give the charts in the new report the same appearance?

I am kind of new when it comes to using classes at the report level in cognos.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

you can link to existing reports to get their styles and variables.

Go to the report properties:

Then click on "Report styles reference" and select your report which you'd like to have as source for the classes.

Alle classes are now available in your report too as local classes.
