  • 1.  Reuse dataset and data module

    I have created several complicated reports/dashboards against data module, but want to speed these (reports/dashboards) up by running against data sets created off the same data module.  Is there anyway to avoid rewrite these reports/dashboards? Especially dashboard can not export as XML to do global search and replace like reports can.

    If you are on Cognos Analytics 11.1.1 or above, you can expose and update the dashboard spec by opening the dashboard in Edit mode and hit ctrl + / + q on your keyboard.
