    Is it possible to retrieve data from a field before the record is saved in the database? For example I have a dialog A where I enter value to a field say Person = WILSON then I navigate to dialog B from dialog A , in dialog B I would like to set Requestor = Person ( from dialog A )

    Hi,
    I would run your automation script from an attribute launch point.  See it to the object and attribute of field A to run on validation. Then when you click off field A, it will run and populate field B.

    Yes, you can by custom java class or automation script by setting the relationship between obj A & B
