  • 1.  Requirement Extraction using REST API calls

    Hello All,

    I am using corporate license of DOORS Next 7.0.2 SR1 and trying to extract requirement data using REST API calls. I have its JazzUsers license with RM Data Collector however it's not allowing to extract data from REST API calls. My intension is the integrate the DOORS with an automated tool to extract the require data and tool uses REST API calls.

    Hi Vivek

    the licence "RM Data Collector " is an internal licence, normaly not assigned to an enduser,
    the backend user uses this licence for the hand over of the data from the DNG DB to the Report DWH DB.

    you need to have  access to the DNG data from a user perspective, even if your access is via API not a frontend bowser gui

    eg "IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next - Contributor"  or "Analyst"

    access via API could be done via OSLC API or reportable Rest API

    Hi Vivek,

    at the moment I have a tool which is capable to extract all module text to markdown formatted files.
    Its status is a sales accelerator, meaning, that at the  time of writing this it does not have the status of an official IBM TEL asset.

    The tool takes a top level GC Configuration, a user and a password as input and generates a set of all MD documents for modules belonging to this GC Configuration.
    The tool also exports embedded images.

    There are limitations, currently no custom attributes and only limited link information export is available.
