  • 1.  Register AF's using pr0cmd.exe from a list of AF's

Does anyone have any script examples of registering multiple archive files via cmd line with pr0cmd.exe? FMF file maintenance maybe?

I have a couple of hundred AF's that I want to register to an Optim server for performance testing. I can't find any examples of registering multiple AF's via cmd line pr0cmnd.exe. Of course, I do not want to manually register them using the Optim Client GUI.

I've reviewed the documentation and I can't seem to find any examples or references to registering AF via pr0cmnd.exe.

Optim supports registering archive files using command line (pr0cmnd /arcmaint), please see below link

    Hey Danny,

Not sure if you use FADs on your archive files to restrict access, but if you do, you'll need to EXPORT all the security definitions associated with each archive file and use them for the REGISTER step. Optim won't register a secured .af file without an associated .sf file.

    Good luck!

    Hi Danny,

If I am reading the request correctly, you are actually migrating archive files from one place to another.  If I am correct, give the following link a try.  LINK

    Hi Danny,

I use /ARCMAINT to register files. Unfotunately, it accepts one file at a time only and it takes its time. But at least, you don't have to use the GUI.
