  • 1.  Regarding Sudo upgrade

    Hi Team,

    I have got Sudo Heap-based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability (Baron Samedit) (Generic) vulnerability in AIX 7.1 server and when i try to upgrade the sudo i am getting dependency errors like it is asking to get the dependencies but i am unable to get those rpm files form the AIX open source webiste.What needs to be done to remove these dependencies errors and upgrade the sudo.

    HI

    what are the steps you used for upgrading. It is suggested to use dnf for any package management (install, upgrade,erase etc..) 
    Please use dnf and let us know the outcome.

    If you are installing sudo from AIX toolbox then all the dependencies will be there on AIX toolbox.

    But resolving dependencies manually is not the best practice we recoomend to use dnf to install packages from AIX toolbox.
