RDz host SSL Customization. RDz client not connecting to Host

  • 1.  RDz host SSL Customization. RDz client not connecting to Host

    Posted Fri January 17, 2014 12:41 AM

    Hi,

We are working on RD&TV9, we have RDz host V851 and RDz client 9.

We had completed the RDz host SSL customization and started the RSEDSSL started tasks and ran the IVP as below.

    F RSEDSSL,APPL=IVP PASSTICKET,IBMUSER

    +FEK900I PASSTICKET IVP: start: serverid=STCRSE userid=IBMUSER

+FEK900I PASSTICKET IVP: the default applid=FEKAPPL

+FEK900I PASSTICKET IVP: Success, PassTicket IVP finished normally

    +FEK901I PASSTICKET IVP  Exit code = 0

    F RSEDSSL,APPL=IVP DAEMON,IBMUSER

+FEK900I DAEMON IVP: SSL is enabled

    +FEK900I DAEMON IVP: connected

    +FEK900I DAEMON IVP: 2442

    +FEK900I DAEMON IVP: 2439199

    +FEK900I DAEMON IVP: Success

    +FEK901I DAEMON IVP  Exit code = 0

But we are unable to connect to host using RDz client via SSL port.

we were getting the below message on the RDz client.

    RSEG1243
Failed to connect to the daemon with an unexpected exception: 192.168.198.160.  Make sure the daemon is running or port 4047.

We had checked on the server and daemon logs.

Could you please let us know, what are we missing here, Why we are unable to make connection via RDz client to the RD&T RDz host.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sathya

You'll probably get a better response to this query if you queue it to the RDz forum.

Its looks like We dint have SSL V3 installed.  RDz client is looking for SSL V3 ciphers. We need to install the SSL V3. Once we install this issue will be resolved.

FYI...  The SSL V3 code is not shipped with RD&T and is not available from us due to export restrictions.  If you have another way to obtain it, you are able to use it.
