  • 1.  Querying Maximo with Stablepaging

    Posted 01/07/21 04:14 PM

I am investigating using stablepaging with the Maximo JSON API but not getting any improvement in results.

    An example query is:

    GET /maxrest/oslc/os/TWMSINVENTORY?pageno=2&oslc.where=location%3D%22DERWENT%22&oslc.pageSize=100&lean=1&stablepaging=1&oslc.select=*&stableId=4649116100536383439120

What I would expect to see is a longer delay to return the first page and then a rapid and consistent improvement to fetch remaining pages that have already been fetched from the database. The actual results are similar times to fetch any page.
We are running Maximo 7.6.0.8. Has anyone had any experience with stable paging that return better performance after the first page is fetched?

    Hi Tim

You are correct, you should see an improvement as the data is cached.  How time difference are you getting with/without stable pagination?

This is a good video on explaining stable pagination that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQAV8YyWZLE&feature=youtu.be
