Hello,

I am performing a new installation of QRadar 7.4. version using the QRadar ISO. As per the guide, I am successful in 1st phase of the installation i.e. Installing the OS.

When I proceed to next phase of installing QRadar, by mounting the ISO and running the SETUP command, the installs proceeds for a while and then it fails with the following errors:

Initializing...

Starting setup session in screen

WARNING: No build_version file, but found QRadar files.

Getting version from RPMS: adminconsole ....

ERROR: Sorry, upgrades not supported on this release!

Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

Note: While creating the VM (in VMWorkstation), I select the option - Installer Disc Image File (ISO)

While it is not possible to be sure without more information, I would suspect that either the OS installation is missing some revelant components that are required or possibly, the hypervisor is not supported. The list of supported hypervisors are listed here:
