  • 1.  pureScale db2icrt - netname not found

    I am performing a pureScale instance creation from the command-line and using a hostname for a netname. It is failing because the netname is not found even though it is in /etc/hosts. This was unexpected, I am guessing it needs to be added to DNS? I am using the IP address instead and that is working fine.

     

    I am using db2icrt -d -m imlsaix1 -mnet imlsaix1-rep -cf imlsaix1 -cfnet imlsaix1-rep ...

    The name imlsaix1 is in DNS and /etchosts. The name imlsaix1-rep is only in /etc/hosts.
