  • 1.  PSI zFS file from ServerPac download - can I delete it?

    Hi,

    I'm doing my first z/OSMF ServerPac install of z/OS (so still learning).

    I'm following the ServerPac POSTDEPLOY workflow and am up to Step nn. IPLing The System 

    Question: Can I now delete the large zFS file that I created for downloading the Portable Software Instance ( ie. via job IZUD01DL)

    Is it needed anymore for anything?

    Hi Greg,

    If you have acquired the product using physical media, you can safely delete it after you have completed the deployment jobs. You may restore it using DVD incase needed. If you have acquired the product through electronic delivery, then it may be available for download for limited number of days. In this case, it may be better to keep it until you have verified the installation.
