    Hi,

    I've just done my first z/OSMF ServerPac upgrade, moving from z/OS 2.5 to 3.1.

    After the first IPL everything looks really good, but I can't seem to get back to the Workflows I was using on the z/OS 2.5 driving system.

    I do have the same SIZUUSRD filesystem mounted at /global/zosmf/
    on the new system, so I expected everything to be available...however when I try to open/modify the STnnnnnn_POSTDEPLOY Workflow, I get this:

    IZUG854E An error occurred. The data could not be retrieved.

    Explanation

    An error occurred that prevented z/OSMF from retrieving the data; therefore, it cannot be displayed. This error could have occurred because either the system could not be reached or the Common Information Model (CIM) server is not running.

    System programmer response

    Check the z/OSMF logs to determine the status of the system and the CIM server. If the problem persists, contact the IBM Support Center.

    Any clues as to what I have done wrong? Which logs should I look at?

    Answering my own question here - I opened a case with IBM support and was advised to apply two recent z/OSMF PTFs (UI96215 & UI97051).

    This resolved the problem, I can now see my Workflows again. Thanks everybody!
