One of our customers inform that there is some slowness in the process portal in IBM BAW for some of their sites. Please let us know are there any configurations to improve process portal performances.

Hi Harsha, it was not clear what version you are on or exactly what the scenario is using process portal.  There is a performance redbook available that is a good guide for tuning here: https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg248216.pdf. Although it mentions IBM Business Process Manager V8.5 Performance Tuning and Best Practices, most things are still relevant for BAW.

    Hello.

Someone shared with me some performance links on IBM BAW some time ago, I hope it helps you.

    Websphere Application Server 8.5 -

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/was-nd/8.5.5?topic=performance-tuning-application-serving-environment

Websphere has it's own tuning tool:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/websphere-application-server-performance-tuning-toolkit

    BAW tuning:

https://github.com/stephan-volz/database-scripts - we have tuning tips for DB2 and Oracle but not MSSQL.

    The first PDF is DB2

    2nd is for Oracle

    https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg248216.html

I believe this was the last redbook published on performance tuning and BPM

    Hello again.

On my little experience it also helped me to check:
    1) Check the processor consumption on the server. Check for CPU spikes.
    2) If there is an antivirus, check that is not also consuming the processor and disk.
    3) Try some network tests. Check if the "Process Portal" is also slow on a machine running on the same network of the server, and compare it to others in different networks.

    Regards
