    Hi community,

    I would like to ask for one thing. When I am using functionality "generate work orders" in application Preventive Maintenance I can write below into pop-up window email address to inform me when it`s completed. For sure, notification email I recieve every time, but when I start to generate about 2000 PM and it will generate 2000 WO`s there are only few which were wrong(not created) I have to search this notification email and find the wrong work orders. Is there any option to set up notification email to send me only "Incorrect" Work Orders? For emaple which were incorrect, missing something or weren`t created? 

    Is there any  infrastructure configuration or sql condition?

    Hi Michal,

    as far as i know there is no setting in 7.6 to get only the incorrect records in the email.

    PS. the error on your screenshot is probably due to some restrictions.

    Hi Michal,

    I would firstly be loath to run the 'generate work orders' option for 2,000 PMs even though you can mark it to run the background because it's not the best way to do so.  Anyway, yes, it will send you 2,000 emails as that is generated per PM and there is no option to only send the email if it fails to generate.

    It tells you the PM in question, have you investigated why there is an error?

    Run it again, but only for that PM, look in the server logs and see what that says.

    Is there an alternative approach = yes.  Do you avoid 2,000 emails = yes.  Will it provide a detail of why it failed = maybe.

    I would have set-up the PMWoGenCronTask to run for all active PMs.  Note: I do not place a restriction, other than the PM must be active.  You can of course have multiple instances of the cron task with their own SQL.  I would also have this run once a day.  Then you will providing you have got the Organization option correct , you will  only get one email.

    Hi Michal,

    Just to add on to Craig's comments, there is a system property that I use that might help solve some of your concerns.

    Take a look at mxe.wogen.FormatCronTaskEmail. PMWOGEN Cron Task Email Enhancement (ibm.com)

    I've been using this set to TRUE for at least two years and find it very easy to identify which PMs are having issues and which are not.

    Hi all, 

    Thank you for your help! I've tried to set the mxe.wogen.FormatCronTaskEmail system property to value 1, but the email format is still default. Is it working for manual WO generation or only with set up CronTask? Or there is any other configuration to make it working. I could't find more information for this settings.

    Hi Michal,

    I'm sure this setting only works for pmwogen and not for manual generation.  I tested on my environment to be sure.

    Have you been able to set up the cron task successfully?
