All,

Within a new PowerHA environment, the following setup is defined:

• a Lun-level switching to arrange an IASP (a group of luns on a Flashsystem storage server ) gets transferred from one Power server to a second power server within the same DC. 
• And on top a global mirror of the IASP to another DC (long distance).

Now, I see the PowerHA product is installed, but as well the IBM lab-service toolkit (IASP Manager) to arrange the switching processing & the FC operations.

Reading the toolkit information, I see the Lun-level switching for IASP is only available for DS8K related storage, and that you have to arrange for SVC related storage (or Flash Systems) via the PowerHA CRG setup. Is this true ... as within this configuration, I only see a DATA CRG (inactive) defined through the toolkit.

My interpretation was ... lun-level switching by PowerHA (with a CHGCRGPRI command) on an active DEV CRG (representing the IASP) and regarding the GLobal Mirror, you have 2 options : via PowerHA or as well via the toolkit ?

Is the toolkit updated, and can perform now lun-level switching for all storage servers ?
