In a word: yes :-)
And volume group Y could either use the same replication policy as volume group X, if neither is in a partition, or use a different policy.
See:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/sanvolumecontroller/8.7.x_cd?topic=replication-policies
"The policy specifies the systems and the I/O groups in those systems that are used for replication.
- The locations of the systems in the policy define the layout of the systems seen in the management GUI. The system in location 1 is shown on the left, and the system in location 2 is shown on the right. This layout remains fixed and is not affected by the direction of replication between systems..."
And:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/sanvolumecontroller/8.7.x_cd?topic=recovery-managing-replication-disaster
"Replication policies do not define a direction for replication. The initial direction of replication is determined when a replication policy is associated with a volume group or a volume group is created specifying a replication policy. The system where the replication policy is assigned starts as the production system."

Subject: Policy Based Replication A-B B-A
Hi Team,
I am just trying to verify something here.
If I have e.g. two FS5300, I can set up PBR between these two systems. So vdisks in volumegroup x on system A replicates to System B.
Can I now replicate vdisks in volumegroup Y on System B to System A?
I can only find images that replicate from system A to system B.
A url to a document confirming this would be appreciated.
Thank You.
