Hi Asgeir,
100% agree - IMO, there should be two layers to MDX, just like in Perspectives, a code layer (RUX) and a presentation layer (BLB)
Not saying I want two copies in files but rather that when opening MDX, it should either present the MDX you saved, in the same format or if in the case of MDX generated for a view etc., it should be presented in a structured format to make it human readable.
Right now I am using 3 tools to work with MDX - PAW, Notepad++ and chatGPT - lots of wasted effort to really do what should happen natively in the IDE.
I loaded this Idea previously to request that handcrafted MDX retain its formatting.
Would be great if everyone interested could vote.

Subject: Please restructure the MDX code in the MDX viewer
When I open the MDX editor in a view

..then I get for example this code

Now, if I open the free version of ChatGPT and say something like "Please restructure this MDX code" and paste the code above in.
Then I get the following structured code.

Now I would also like to say to the developers of the PAW interface.
Please restructure the MDX code in the MDX viewer :)
Cheers, Asgeir
