  • 1.  Planning Analytics Workspace - Licensing

Starting with Planning Analytics 2.1 it is necessary to use Planning Analytics Workspace for modelling and administration, correct? Furthermore, Planning Analytics Workspace is a prerequisite for Planning Analytics for Excel (to be able to work with sets and views).

Are customers with old licenses (without PA Workspace add-on) allowed to use Planning Analytics Workspace for these tasks or are additional licenses necessary?

Holders of the Admin licence in the old world are allowed to use the PAW environment, including the Modeler and Admin areas.

All users can use PAfE, irrespective of its reliance on PAW.

Non-Admins can not use PAW without the add-on licence.

    Hi Julia,

We made some minor updates to the Planning Analytics Local 2.1 license to support modeling and admin functionality (Modeling Workbenches and Planning Analytics Administration) in Planning Analytics Workspace.  License documents for current versions of Planning Analytics Local can be found here: https://www.ibm.com/about/software-licensing/us-en/product_search?search=5737-B03&type=ALL
