Planning Analytics on Cloud will adopt the 2.1 version numbers for Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel starting in October 2025.  The 2.0.107 release in September is the last release to use a 2.0 version number.  The October update to Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel will be 2.1.15.  This change is being made to align versions of Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel with new releases of same components in Planning Analytics Local.  

Planning Analytics for Excel releases that are available in administration area of Workspace will be replaced with equivalent 2.1 releases.  Starting with the October update, the versions of Planning Analytics for Excel available for download will be 2.1.15, 2.0.107, and 2.0.106.  The next update to Planning Analytics on Cloud will provide access to Planning Analytics for Excel versions 2.1.16, 2.1.15, and 2.0.107.  Updating to the latest version of Planning Analytics for Excel is always recommended.  Recent 2.0.xx releases of Planning Analytics for Excel will continue to work with Workspace 2.1.15 and later. 

The change to 2.1 versions in Planning Analytics on Cloud does not change how product updates are delivered.  The Planning Analytics product team will continue to provide regular updates that add features and address known issues.  It is important to understand that all versions of Planning Analytics services and software in Planning Analytics on Cloud environments are supported. 

The about screen in TM1Web will continue to show a 2.0.xx version number until the next update of TM1Web.  TM1 database and TM1Web are updated at the same time in Planning Analytics on Cloud environments.  The process to request an update to TM1Web and TM1 database remains the same.  The next update to TM1 database and TM1Web after Workspace is updated in October will change the TM1Web about screen to show the current 2.1 version number.  In addition, the specific 2.1 version of TM1 database will now be displayed in Planning Analytics Administration.  This change will make it easier to determine the version of TM1 database and find the documentation specific to your version.
