  • 1.  Permanent Cognos Environment not in TechZone

    I need to produce an MVP for a client using Cognos Analytics on Cloud. That also involves a certain level of automation, i.e. DataStage jobs outputs to flow into Cognos and update Dashboard or produce ad-hoc reports.

    There are two ways I currently know how to get to work with Cognos Analytics:
    • 30 days trial version (current version)
    • TechZone environment (vers. 1.7)

    The TechZone version has a limited time and is provided in a sandbox environment.

    What we need instead is something using CloudPak 4 Data or the stand-alone version with an extension of trial period.
    IBM Cloud contains only Dashboard Embedded (through Watson Studio) and that is limiting for the scope of the MVP.

    Do you know any alternative? Thank You.

    Hi,

    Are you an IBM business partner? At least one (possibly more) of the distributors IBM uses has an instance of Cloud Pak for Data specifically there for partners to use in demo/POC situations. Depending on whether or not you are a partner, and if so which distributor you transact through, this may or may not be an option for you.
