  • 1.  Performance issue with a report in Cognos

    Hi,

    The report keeps on spinning (running) when run. A page set has been used in the report. When a trace is run on the query, it is showing a continuous loop. It is a prompted report where you can select an year and the problem is when I select the current year (It is running for other years).

    Could anyone suggest possible solutions?

    Hi Mack,

    It sounds like a problem in the data model. Perhaps a wrong or missing join.

    Have you tried to have a look at the SQL generated in the report, to make it easy try to just keep a minimum of fields and have a look at the SQL generated in the report.
