    Just recently started getting an email from my FS7300 running at 8.7.0.3:

    Error ID = 79603 : Patch auto-update server communication error

    Error Code = 4401 : Patch auto-update server communication error

    Settings, System, Patch auto-update is off.

    Dear Robert,

     

    we recognized yesterday some outages on IBM site causing trouble to login to cloudbased services. It might also be an issue with the Update server.

    Please try again today.

    I have the same problems with a FS5300 running at 8.7.0.4 and a FS5200 running at 8.7.0.4

    Maurizio,

    Are you still getting these emails today?  If I go into my FS7300, and use the Bell icon in the top right to look at Events, the last time this happened for me was 6/3/2025 7:44:09 PM.  I think IBM got their websites back up and running.  Did you see Martin's response?

    We are having exactly the same problem on our storage systems (FS7300, SVC, V5045) since Monday morning, also on V8.7.0.3, but I heard from a colleague that they have it also on a SVC with V8.6.0.6.
     
    I disabled auto-update as well, no improvement. Then I disable cloud call home, and after that we received no more error messages. Seems to be a problem on the IBM site with clod call-home.

    I think IBM has this resolved for now.

    IDK if that was an intentional misspelling of 'cloud' to 'clod' but I find it funny, given how well that's working.
