Hi All,

Is there any way can set up password for Optim extract file (XF file). like no one should be able to open the file without password and Optim. 

is there any configuration available in Optim for this password  protection setup?

i am particularly looking security options for extract file. i see there are options only for Archive file. 
Let me know if you have any idea on this setting up security for Extract file.

You don't need to keep extract file, as you can use convert after extract to mask any sensitive columns in your extracted data. So the data in your extract file will not have production data in it.

As a second option, if you use the convert switch at the same time as the extract, you can keep the extract files for further processing.  The switch instructs Optim to perform the convert essentially at the same time as the extract so no private data is stored permanently on disk.

Just another option you can consider based on your needs.

Hi Rajesh,

You can put security on folders where you store Extract and convert files and provide access only to service account to those folder which you had configured for Optim with service account. 

Adopting this you can have layer of security over your extract and convert files.
