I have created a dashboard in Cognos version 11.2.4. In some of the visualizations I am using calculated fields which rely on parameter values defined interactively by users. I used the "Actions" option at the top of the screen to set the actions which trigger the change in parameter values:

When I click on the filter icon in any of the visualizations I can see parameter values:

 But if I then try to create a drill-through from any visualization  Cognos doesn't give me the option to select dashboard parameters to be mapped against report parameters:

Does anyone know how to pass parameter values from a dashboard to a drill through report?

When I do this, it's not the dashboard that matters most, it's the report having prompt variables in place that match the dashboard ones. After that's in place and I enter the report's object id as the drill through target in the dashboard, the report filters itself without prompting, based on the dashboard visualization's filters at the time of drill through. The dashboard isn't the object that needs mapped params, it just passes the current filters to any prompt vars that match in the report.

Thank you for your answer. What you describe works when data items are used as filters (either in the filters panel or as objects on the main canvas). I did create the same parameter variables to filter both the dashboard and report (you can see that in the last two screenshot in my original post), but then when I set the drill through target, the report does not filter itself and Cognos doesn't seem to allow me to map parameter variables in the dashboard to the same parameter variables in the report.

A bit off topic, I have seen this Actions link mentioned a few times in other posts.

Does this extension let you set parameter values based on what is selected in a visualisation?
