PAoC Issues

    Hi,

    We have multiple customers who are currently unable to log into PAoC DBs and / or Secure Gateway is not working.

    The status page I have book marked https://status.planning-analytics.cloud.ibm.com/ is not working and I am also unable to raise any tickets.

    Could we have an indication of what the issue is and timescales to resolution please?

    We're encountering an unusual issue with Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) when connecting to our PAoC Production/Dev environment via the IBM Cloud URL

    Issue Summary:
    When users log in, instead of seeing the usual PAX task pane, they are redirected to a Tenant Selector screen (via an embedded PAW view). This is a new behavior - previously, logging in would directly open the task pane connected to our TM1 instance without any tenant prompts.

     Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Open Excel with the IBM Planning Analytics add-in enabled.
    2. Click Connect and select the configured connection URL (Prod or Dev).
    3. Log in using IBMid credentials.
    4. After authentication, a Tenant Selector window appears instead of the PAX task pane.

    This issue occurs across all tested user systems. We've already tried various steps such as cache deletion, plugin re-registration, and re-installation. 

    Looking For Answers:

    1. Has anyone else experienced this behavior recently?
    2. Is this due to any recent IBM platform or authentication update?
    3. Can the Tenant Selector screen be bypassed, especially for users with access to only one tenant? (maybe not valid if the above 1 & 2 are positive)
    4. Is there a configuration setting to default or auto-select a tenant? (maybe not valid if the above 1 & 2 are positive)
    5. We'd appreciate any official clarification or workaround from IBM or the community. (maybe not valid if the above 1 & 2 are positive)

     

    Expected Behavior:

    Users should be able to log into PAX via the Production link and directly access the task pane connected to the TM1 instance - without going through the Tenant Selector screen.

    We are still seeing this issue this morning, even though the issue says fully resolved.    Is anyone aware of a solution?  We've tried clearing cache, and using the latest PAfE .xll.

    Hi Any updates from IBM?

    Neither of the status pages are working https://status.ai-apps-comms.ibm.com/planninganalytics or https://status.planning-analytics.cloud.ibm.com/

    Customers appear to be able to log into DBs now but the majority of their Secure Gateway connections are not working.

    It's month end are people are getting frustrated.....

    Response from IBM to me:

    We have an IBM Cloud Incident running that is impacting multiple clients globally. The incident is causing issues with new logins authenticating with the Identity & Access Management (IAM) service or any service requiring API/CLI connectivity. Our top Executive, SRE and Engineering leads are mobilized to diagnose and resolve the issue. At this time there is no firm time to resolution, but workaround actions are in progress to bypass suspected faulty components.

    The other two I usually check are not working. I have received 0 notifications from IBM. As usual, my users are the first ones to notify me. It would be great to be able to provide them with an update, especially since they are at a stand-still with month-end close due to the outage.

    Recent Updates from IBM says it is resolved so worth doing some tests:

    - 2025-06-02 23:12 UTC - RESOLVED - We have completed our central recovery actions. Users should perform a health check of their applications and contact IBM Cloud support if further assistance is required.

    Is anyone else experiencing issues with PAoC?

    The links are taking a long time to load, and login attempts are currently failing on our end.  Would appreciate if others could confirm if they're seeing the same behavior.

    Please login and check as it seems to be working as expected. We are keeping eye on it. 

    Note that some jobs are failed where connector was used so you may need to re-run them. Cheers!
