    Curious if anyone has gotten the excel error "the group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation" when trying to open any object from Pafe TaskPane (cube viewer, quick report, set editor, etc). I don't believe it's Pafe's fault, rather an underlying excel issue, but it manifests itself whenever the user tries to use Pafe.

    HI Andy,

    IIRC it is down to ticking the "Optimize for compatibility" in the Excel General options - same option that fixes the blank Task Pane issue.

    Thanks George. I was originally skeptical that the setting could not be on "Optimize for compatibility" since all of our users thus far have had to select that in order to see the Task Pane populated. Lo and behold, this user didn't have that setting checked yet could see Task Pane items. I had them switch it and will see over next few days if issue is fully resolved. Thanks again.

    Thanks George!  We just encounter this same issue and it got resolved when we check this option.

    Excellent! And thanks for the feedback.

    At this point we are advising that for any installations this option is checked as standard, avoids wasting time later with blank navigation panes etc.
