I am using 10.2.2 verion and SAP BW is the source recenty changed description in SAP BW query. This project in german language. But Some of the quries in german and some of in English .It is dimentional model and Dynamic query mode.

senario 1

To update SAP BW changes in FM Model  I have deleted existing query and reimported again that query in FM model.


When English as active language member caption and description not updated. and  German as active language member catption and description updated in reimported query.


Then I saved the Model and published package. But when I opened the package in report studio checked query description still it showing old description only 

Member caption and member description updating in FM model but not updating  in Package after publishing.


scenario  2 
Also observed  just opened FM model and  selected active language as German then tested query shown updated description. With out reimporting query how it is shown updated description.

Hi Muralidhar,

the information coming is within SAP BW language specific. Depending on set language in IBM Cognos BI (Active Language/ Product Language) we pass this language information to SAP BW to get the language specific details where applicable. If there's no data available for a specific language SAP BW falls back to default language content as per set up on SAP BW.
