I would like to know does IBM Optim (Extract, Convert, Load)solution support for databases that can be connected through JDBC.
If it can be done, kindly let us know how to achieve that goal.

Hi,

If, i am getting it correctly by how does  JDBC connection works for Extraction, Archive and Masking you meant to ask following :

-  JDBC String Connectivity Establishment, this is like any JDBC connection let it be mssql or mysql all you need to make sure to have the right jdbc jar.
- Extraction,Arhive and Masking; Source Database (which will be yours Optim Default DB) will be the place where you will extract the desired database and archive, Even your data masking techniques either via Column Map Procedures or the LUA scripts will also be at the source Database.
However, after performing the masking activity you can put the masked data at the desired Destination Database.
