Hi All,

I'm trying to get my head round Optim Security. Initially we chose to use Designer in order to utilise existing LDAP setup and userids. However I think Optim Classic is still on the desktop as Designer uses original code for some elements. Soooooo

1. How does security flow between Designer and Classic (if at all)?
   1. If I've secured Designer with LDAP do I need to mirror that for Classic or does that 'just happen'?
2. Is it possible to secure Optim at a most basic level on the workstation by changing the read execute permissions of the Optim program binaries to prevent certain users from executing it at all?
