Nodes not synching in cluster environment

    Hello all,

    We are having issues in synching Nodes in websphere (System Adminstration-->Nodes-->Sync Node option).

    The nodeagent's  SystemOut.log had below message.

    [2/6/24 16:58:35:695 AEDT] 000007d6 NodeSync      E   ADMS0005E: The system is unable to generate synchronization request: com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException: Admin client connection to deployment manager is unavailable; nodeagent has not discovered the dmgr
        at com.ibm.ws.management.sync.NodeSync.getAdminClient(NodeSync.java:552)
        at com.ibm.ws.management.sync.NodeSync.getCellRepositoryEpoch(NodeSync.java:427)
        at com.ibm.ws.management.sync.NodeSyncTask.doSync(NodeSyncTask.java:248)
        at com.ibm.ws.management.sync.NodeSyncTask.run(NodeSyncTask.java:157)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:812)
        

    It is a clustered emvironment, and JVMs do not start OR stuck with 'partial start' status due to Node synchronization issue. (Attached screenshot for reference).

    Also, we recently imported new SSL certificate but didn not delete the old one. When we tried to delete, we see the below message. (Not sure if related to SSL certifiate)

    An error occurred deleting isr_test: CWPKI0805E: The isr_test personal certificate cannot be deleted because it is referenced by the following configurations: [XXX((cell):Cell01:(cluster):MaxUI), XXX ((cell):Cell01:(cluster):MaxMIF)].

    We tried follwing steps. But could not fix the issue so far.

    • Stop Deployment Manager
    • Deleted wstemp, temp folders,
    • Start Depoyment Mnager
    • Stop maximo servers, Node agents
    • Sync node using 'syncNode.bat' command.
    • Start node agents, Maximo JVMs.
    • Tried to sync from Webshere. But it is not synchronized.

    Websphere version: 9.0.5.13

    Maximo version: 7.6.1.3

    Kindly share if have any suggestiond or experienced similar situation.

    This issue is resolved after fixing the SSL configuration.

    There is a cluster level setting at Security-->SSL certificate and key management--> 'Dynamic outbound endpoint SSL configurations' option, that was mapped to an expired certificate. We updated to the new certificate, then it worked.
